39/366: beware zebra crossing

In 2003 I bought a wooden zebra in South Africa, which accompanied me around the entire world. He is safe and sound in our garden now. Originally he was bare timber covered in stripes of black paint, and resided in the front garden under the Greenstead Magnificent.

Looking a little weathered, he needed an update, so I repainted the black and then also painted the body in a colour to match the painted timber of our pergola (colorbond wheat). So now he stands on guard as you walk through the covered walkway out to the back garden, with his stylish stylised look which I fell in love with at first sight.
