312/366: parasitic plant perhaps?

On our trip to Thailand recently (was it really only last week??!! Shameless self-promotion: click here), I noticed around the grounds of Thara Patong Beach Resort some plants growing on other plants.

Some of these looked deliberately added. Do you remember when elk horn ferns were all the rage under the pergola? It’s amazing how even in gardens there are fashions and trends, just as in clothing, cars and decor.

Others had the look of a parasitic plant, feeding on its host. I’m not sure that this is the case, just my humble impression. And I’ve always said that everyone is entitled to my opinion – I even have a cap that states that fact quite clearly, so it must be true.
