It’s delightful to go out into the garden and look around at the signs that show that spring is definitely here.
Although the daffodils have finished, other bulbs have taken centre stage, such as the freesias, with their fragrant scent and attractive blooms.
Plum blossoms are making way for the leaves, looking fresh and bright as they grow.
In front of the shed leaves have appeared, but I can’t even remember what bulbs I planted there. I’m looking forward to seeing what flowers they produce.
It is no easy task trying to take photos of bees busily buzzing from blossom to blossom.
When you look at the results you can see how fast they must be moving their wings to stay upright. With a fancier camera you might get better results, but the ones taken with my Canon Ixus 120 IS will have to do.
Taken with total disregard for my safety, I took three dozen shots to get these two photos.
Yes, you know spring is here when the blossoms start appearing. Just a week ago there were only little buds on the verge of opening.
Now they have literally burst into bloom, and are a sight to behold.
Thank God for the beauty of nature.
